December 1st 2015 - Smells like christmas.....

.....it smells like christmas they say!  Makes your house smell nice they say! 

Errrrrr....... NO IT DOESN'T it STINKS!!!

I can safely say that adding the ingredients to either a pan of boiling water or slow cooker and leave on low makes your house smell nice and of christmas is a load of rubbish.  I added the ingredidients to water and put on the hob and left it.  Within 10minutes my house smelt horrible and I was feeling sick.  I turned the hob off and put the pan outside in the rain!

I have had to light scented candles and spray air freshner to try and cover the smell up!  This is most definately a pinterest fail!!!

BUT on a good note it's decemeber 1st and this means only 24 sleeps until santa comes!!!

Last night I was awake for hours as I had a real sicky feeling in my stomach, I wasn't sick despite feeling it.  This morning lil man was violently sick everywhere multiple times!

Well I remembered I had pinned something about covering sick with coffee as it's meant to dry it out and remove the smell and make easier to clean - IT DOESN'T!  it just makes it smell like sick and coffee and makes a mess even bigger to clean up.

Poor lil man is now back in bed asleep but keeps being sick and I still feel really sick but still havent been.  Guessing its a bug we have!

Lil man has been outside the past few days as the weather has been nice, and hes been playing in his sand pit, but has moaned that there is bugs in it!

Well I looked on pinterest and found this link about adding cinnamon to the sandpit as it repels the bugs.  So I added 1/2 bottle of cinnamon into the sandpit and mixed it in really well.   The sand now had a slight cinnamon smell and STILL has bugs in it a few hours later.  So i've wasted my cinnamon and not solved the problem as yet.  I will keep checking the sandpit over next few days and see if there's any change.

Last week I bought a pair of shoes off ebay because I need a low heeled pair to go with my St John Ambulance uniform for our enrollment/presentation evening in a few weeks and couldn't find any in town that I liked or were comfy.

These shoes were listed as a size 7, which is good as that is what I am in most shoes.  However when they arrived they have a great big 6 on the sole, which isn't so good.  I did contemplate complaining to the seller  but for the sake of £3.79 (including postage) I didn't think it was worth it and would could me more than that to send them back.  I have tried them on and they are a bit on the tight side across the top of my foot and against my big toes.

Then I remembered that I had pinned this random pin about stretching shoes by wearing loads of socks and using a hair dryer - I can do that as have socks and a hair dryer.  So I started off with 1 pair of socks on and a couple of mins under the hair dryer, removed them and tried shoes on without socks, they were still a bit tight.  So we went for a 2nd pair of socks.  Although this did feel that they were stretching slightly after a total of mins the sole of one of the shoes had come unstuck.

So I can safely say that stretching shoes with extra socks and a hair dyrer doesn't work.  This is a pinterest fail.  And I now have a pair of shoes that are still tight and have had to glue the sole back onto them and need find another pair asap.
